In November last month, a completely unexpected – and a very pleasant surprise – took place in my town. Mindvalley, which is undoubtedly the world’s best institution in human transformation, coaching, and entrepreneurship was part of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF) 2021.

My introduction to Mindvalley took place roughly two years ago in 2019 after I saw Bruce Lipton, an American biologist, speak about epigenetics and the connection of science with spirit at the John C. Maxwell leadership conference in Orlando, Florida. Bruce Lipton gave an outstanding keynote speech about how our belief system shaped in early years of life impacts everything we do in later years of life. In one part of his presentation when he was talking about stress and cancer, he showed the audience a video tape of a woman in a hospital room under a scanning machine which showed a large tumor in her abdominal area. Around this woman were three energy healers who had their hands over the part of the body which had the tumor and they were chanting non-stop. The tape was recorded live and as the chanting continued on for about 20-minutes, it was visibly evident that over that short period of time, the tumor had significantly subsided and almost completely dissolved. Following Bruce Lipton’s outstanding keynote speech, the mentorship members of the John Maxwell certification program had the opportunity to take photo with him on stage and I told Bruce that I have never met anyone who has been able to bring scientific facts and religious beliefs so close to each other.

As a spiritual person myself, the more I researched Bruce Lipton’s work on the internet, the more I got exposed to additional resources that had to do with the connection between mind, body, and spirit. It was this curiosity that led me to Mindvalley – which, in my opinion, is the world’s best school for elevating your mind, body and soul to the next level of consciousness.

While I watched Mindvalley videos regularly over the past 2 years, I never subscribed to become a member. Since going solo in my field of work last year as a human resources practitioner, I was looking at resources that would brush up on my coaching skills and provide me with additional resources and tools as an executive coach. Much to my surprise, Mindvalley has a sister organization called Evercoach which is a fantastic learning resource for coaches at all levels of their careers and ever since this discovery earlier this year, I’ve been a happy member of Evercoach.

Now let’s get back to Mindvalley’s trip in Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF) 2021.

Mindvalley had a dedicated stage at the SEF 2021 for the full two days of the event. If you know Mindvalley and you become aware that Mindvalley is in town for two full days with some of their leading teachers and team members including the CEO Vishen Lakhiani, you would not miss a beat to attend SEF 2021.

Here’s me preparing my phone to finally take a selfie with Vishen.

In my conversation with the Mindvalley team members, there was one common theme I noticed amongst the character of every team member I had the chance to speak with – and it is that they were extremely friendly and down to earth. Watching this goodness of character in action, it was of particular importance to me because in my past life as an HR practitioner in the corporate world, I have seen business leaders who had earned little respect based on their personality and character and who, without their high job titles, could not exert the authority that their corporate positions had given them.

In my multiple short conversations with Vishen Lakhiani, the CEO of Mindvalley, I was amazed at how open and friendly he was with everyone. It made me ask questions that I ask whenever I see an inspirational leader: what if every CEO and manager in the corporate world was trained and coached by Mindvalley? How would the world of work change for the better and what kind of impact would it have in a day and age where a new generation of workers are putting their personal values over money?

For as long as we see other CEO’s like that of Better.com who recently fired 900 employees over one Zoom call and then insulted the just-fired employees on record, there will always be a need for organizations like Mindvalley that work to elevate the collective consciousness.

We may be far from that world but it is organizations like Mindvalley that give hope. Thanks to the very last session Vishen gave at the Mindvalley stage in SEF 2021, I became aware of the discounted subscription rate Mindvalley was offering during the 2-day conference and I am now a happy member of Mindvalley (in addition to Evercoach). I also attended the Mindvalley event for members the following evening where I got a chance to meet like-minded individuals on a journey to continuous self-improvement.

Going Beyond the 9-5 Jobs: A Journey to Self-Fulfillment

Earlier this year, I became a Licensed Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®) practitioner and I owe it to Mindvalley because I got to know about Marisa Peer (the creator of RTT®) through Mindvalley. RTT® has been an excellent skill added to my growing toolbox as an independent consultant and I have added it as part of Employee Assistance Program to my HR and Leadership development consultancy practice.

Just like me, there are thousands of other people out there who are looking for fulfillment beyond the 9-5 corporate jobs and I cannot think of any other institution like Mindvalley that brings you that level of self-fulfillment. The Mindvalley library of courses (also known as quests) is constantly growing with a line-up of the best of the best experts in different areas due for release in 2022.

Vishen was very kind and he invited Mindvalley members to spend Christmas in Tallinn with Mindvalley this year – there was an open invitation to 100 members and if you’ve been following Vishen’s Instagram account, Estonia is a breathtakingly beautiful place to spend Christmas in.

If this is your first time reading about Mindvalley and you’re already putting down your ‘New Year’s Resolutions’ list, do yourself a favor and look up at Mindvalley annual subscription. You will thank me later down the line once you see how far you grow as a person. Better yet, multiply the personal transformation journey by gifting Mindvalley subscription for someone for Christmas in case you’re still doing Christmas shopping and not sure what to get as a gift for someone.

There’s no better gift than the gift of personal transformation. Whether you’re a business leader, a coach, or anyone interested in growing yourself to the next level of your potential, Mindvalley has something for everyone.

Disclaimer Note: This blog is not a paid advertisement for Mindvalley. As an independent HR & Leadership consultant and podcaster, I regularly speak and write about my experiences. After personally meeting Vishen and the rest of the Mindvalley team in Dubai, I am now more inclined than ever before to continue advocating for a company whose values are aligned with those of my own. If anyone from the Mindvalley team is reading this, I just want to say thank you for all that you do! Keep up the great work and please visit Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival again!
